How does this work?
You choose your Picnic – Basket Meals (Traditional or Luxe), Mountaineer Bag, Custom or Picnic Catering) by filling out the inquiry form. Choose your date, delivery time and delivery location. We will confirm your reservation within 24 hours based on availability.
How much notice do you need to create my Picnic?
For The Traditional Picnic and The Mountaineer Picnic, we recommend your order to be placed at least 48 hours in advance. We do get fully booked, especially on weekends! Please note that if we are already fully booked for the date you request, we may be unable to deliver your Picnic, even if you have placed your order 48 hours in advance. You will receive confirmation of your event booking by email and a link for payment once your Picnic reservation is confirmed.
For The Custom Picnic or Picnic Catering, please allow a minimum of one weeks’ notice so that we can prepare for your special event and make it perfect!

REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY
Picnic Basket Meals or The Mountaineer Picnic:
Outside of 72 hours from your Picnic
A 90% refund will be offered for cancellation for personal reason or in the event inclement weather is forecasted. Alternatively, we can reschedule or relocate your Picnic at no additional charge. The 10% held back is a restocking fee and helps insure the longevity of our business, making sure our appointment times are open for clients wishing to schedule picnic appointments.
Within 72 – 24 hours of your Picnic:
If you wish to cancel without rescheduling or relocating your Picnic, a refund less food charges will be provided. Depending on the basket options chosen, this could be up to 50% held back.
Less than 24 hours notice to cancel:
If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice of your Picnic Appointment Time, no refund can be provided.
The Custom Picnic or Picnic Catering:
On acceptance of your Custom Picnic Quote, a 50% non refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. Full payment is required 10 days prior to your Picnic date.
50% of total costs will be refunded if cancelled 10 days prior to Picnic date
We cannot offer any amount of refund if cancelled 48 hours prior to Picnic date
We suggest indoor picnic parties as a backup plan for inclement weather. We are also happy to work with you for relocation and possibly finding another date or time of day that may work instead.
Can you cater to special dietary requirement?
It is our pleasure to make sure everyone can enjoy the Picnic….please let us know of your special dietary requirements and we will do our very best to accommodate them. Additional charges may apply based on alternate menu choices. Please know that our commercial kitchen, and the kitchen of our vendors, may have cross contamination of allergens. Please let us know how to best serve you but be aware that we cannot guarantee certain exposures.
How do you ensure cleanliness / proper hygiene?
We are ServSafe Certified at Managers Level. At Asheville Picnic Company, we take hygiene and cleanliness very seriously. All of our picnic foods are pre-packaged by our vendors and placed into your basket or lunch bag. All fresh food (like our charcuterie boxes) are prepared in a commercial kitchen, and carefully prepared and boxed. For The Custom Picnic, all food items will come directly from a commercial kitchen….prepared and wrapped. All members of our team practice high levels of personal hygiene and hand washing, and wear gloves during the handling of your food delivery.
How long are gift vouchers valid for?
Picnic Gift Vouchers are good for 12 months from the date of purchase. Gift vouchers are not redeemable for cash.
